Monday:
- In class we will study for our Romeo and Juliet test, and be introduced to our Romeo and Juliet project options.
- Homework is to work on Persuasive essay (due Thurs) and get a lot of rest and food so you’ll do well on the WPA tomorrow.
Tuesday:
- In class we will be taking the WPA in persuasive writing.
- Homework is to study for the Romeo and Juliet test, and Cumulative Vocabulary Quiz. Persuasive essays are due Thursday.
Wednesday:
- In class we will be taking our Romeo and Juliet test.
- Homework is to finish the Persuasive essays and study for tomorrow’s Cumulative Vocabulary Quiz.
Thursday:
- In class we will be taking our cumulative vocabulary quiz. Persuasive essays will be collected. We will begin watching a film version of Romeo and Juliet.
- There is no homew0rk over Spring Break. However, it is STRONGLY SUGGESTED that you take some time to plan ahead or work on your Romeo and Juliet projects. The projects are due on April 15, 2008. Email me if you would like an electronic copy of the project requirements. (katy_poole@sjusd.org)

- Relax! You’ve just finished your Vocabulary Unit AND Independent Reading Project. Give yourselves a break.
- If you have any ideas about the Breaking Down the Walls program, or suggestions on how to make Pioneer better, let Ms. Poole know!
Friday 2/29
- In-class completion of Persuasive Essay. Start thinking about which essay you’d like to revise, edit and eventually turn in. Final drafts will be due on 3/20. We’ll talk more about this project in class.

I apologize for grades not being updated last Friday. My computer is now repaired, and all grades should be entered by 4 pm on Thursday, 2/21/08. Remember: the grading period ends on 3/7. I will be handing out a calendar of upcoming events in class on Thursday. Please don’t lose it!
